In 1972, The Rolling Stones discovered Jose Cuervo at a tour kickoff party, where a bartender created the first ever tequila sunrise. It quickly became the official cocktail of the legendary tour known as “The Tequila Sunrise Tour,” which our campaign commemorated.

A short film brought fans back to where it all began, The Trident bar in Sausalito, where real Trident employees recounted the events of the famous kickoff party.
Cuervo’s website featured the full story behind the Stones’ love affair with Cuervo, along with original cocktails inspired by the tour’s tabloid-worthy events.
